Oxana, the facilitator of Todmorden Frame Drum Group, is going to lead two 30-minute frame-drumming taster sessions at Meet the Makers Market at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, 5 October, Saturday. Only two sessions: at 12 and 2 pm, each will accommodate 6 people – so book early. The Market is part of the South Pennines Festival of Making and Doing and is organised by Made in the Valley. See a post about the frame drumming sessions on their blog.
Rachel Johns, an exceptionally talented artist, my friend and a member of the Intermediate group of Todmorden Frame Drum Group, kindly invited me to lead frame drumming sessions at the festival of applied creativity. Artists and craftspeople will be demonstrating their magic and teaching how to stitch, sew, weave, work with clay, origami, and everything else that is alive, earthy, traditional or innovative. See the blog for posts on all amazing various artists who are taking part.
Drop by and direct your friends and visitors to the area to Meet the Makers. I cannot wait to see all the stalls there in between my frame drumming sessions. I am especially hot for trying the clay wheel. Hey! Ancient sacred crafts!
